About Hooligans for Heroes:
Hooligans for Heroes, founded in 2012 by the Northern Guard Supporters, a fan group of the Detroit FC soccer team, and members of the military is a grass-roots movement that works in conjunction with the widely recognized Wounded Warrior Project.
In mid-2012, tragedy struck the platoon of Chris Monroe, a Northern Guard Supporter currently serving in Afghanistan. When Chris shared news of injuries to fellow servicemen Sgt. Jordan Sisco and Spc Jason Smith, Gene Butcher, Ken Butcher and Drew Gentry (founders of the Northern Guard Supporters) saw a perfect opportunity to aid servicemen and veterans.
100% of all donations go directly to the Wounded Warrior Project.
