The Portland Timbers joined in the fun at the Portland Barefoot 3v3 Tournament on June 10, held at Concordia University. The third-annual event served as a fundraiser for Grassroot Soccer, Inc., a nonprofit aimed at using the power of soccer to prevent and treat HIV in Africa.

The Portland Timbers U-23s and Portland Rain, an adidas Timbers Alliance club, were featured in marquee matches against the Concordia University men’s and women’s teams, respectively. In total, 110, three-player teams competed in the barefoot soccer tournament and helped raise over $10,000 for Grassroots Soccer.
