“In a community, a small community, where boys and girls like to run around from sunrise to sunset in the dusty ground I could see from afar boys playing soccer. They played like it was not just a game but something enjoyable, running around the dusty ground kicking that ball, the players don’t mind the dust, a goal comes their way and they dance, even their jump for a goal shows determination that one day they shall fly beyond and they shall play and kick the ball to the moon. ‘Africa On The Ball’ a team that does not play to earn, a team to teach through sport a team to help a child see what life can hold despite its ups and downs. Just like the players smile so is how beautiful life can be … “

“To engage Africans of all ages in football and through that bond, help educate them and develop communities.”
Africa On The Ball believes soccer can help teach important life skills such as communication, leadership, motivation and discipline. With the major problems of youth drug and alcohol use in Africa, they also believe soccer can help youth build focus and allow them to resist such negative temptations.
Africa On The Ball currently has an Under 17 team enrolled in the Zambian Lusaka league. The organization works to provide the youth with kits, balls and has sponsored coaches to get trained through the Zambian Football Association.
